I just got this pair, cant yet review on longevity, but, Razer has a solid Rep, hence my reason to buy renewed in the 1st place.Sound is excellent. i have some hearing issues, and these are really crisp. I have Turtle Beach Stealth 700 1st Gen, and had also tried Creative Sound BlasterX H7 Tournament Edition HD 7.1 (returned those- faulty mic and sound ).these R the best sounding i have foundthey have separate volume controls for chat and game, one on each ear piece.the foam is thick, the suspension rests across your head, and is overall more comfortable than the 700s i have, but i do have to say the Creatives WERE just a tiny bit more comfortable, but, a lighter overall design. But comfort-wise, these are still 4 stars at least.Sound quality across the board, is excellent. adjusting volume, you dont blast your ears with a 1/4 turn, its a reasonable slope up and down, with volume control- meaning its fairly precise.Connecting to my Xbox/setting up the initial pairing to my Xbox One X, was a breeze.. really, took less than a minute to do.they do seem to disconnect, but only when my Xbox has been idle long enough for the "idle" screen stuff to start appearing. then, you simply turn off, then back on, and they reconnect.these are really quality headphones, have a solid feel, have metal parts/not 100% plastic like some in this same price catagory.I can easily recommend these for Xbox users, and probably over and above the Gen 2 Stealth 700's, which I heard and was told were just not up to par- from actual owners/buyers-who were returning them.update 10-29-20still love these headphones..they take a bit longer to connect to the Xbox one X, than the Stealths, but, stay connected as good or better.Sound quality is just great. Mic voice quality ( what others hear ) is one of the best.so yea, i would buy a 2nd pair, just to have for when i wear these out.. cant see much of an improvement ( i have tinnitus pretty bad, so i have a high pitched "whistle' in my ears 24/7 ) i could see in any new set of headphones, outside of some audiophile level ( read- insanely expensive ) in even the next couple years.. and i expect these to last quite a while.UPDATE-----------ok... its been 2 yrs, and 6 mos since i bought these. its April 17th-2023I used them for... 1000-1200 + hrs of gaming ?? maybe more.. not less..Still sounded excellent, although Razer Navari DO sound 'crisper" , but thats because I only just now used them. The headset broke... at the point where the bands across your head, go into the plastic housing that has an L or an R- for left and right. it simply snapped off/broke apart yesterday.i admit i didnt treat these perfectly, they hit the floor a few times, i tossed them on the couch, not hung them up every time i stopped, and the only truly weak point, in this headband, is where they are held together by only plastic.so a RENEWED pair of headphones, lasted 2 and a half years, of really constant use. the ear pads showed wear, but werent "shot or torn". Mic and sound were still very good, if not excellent ( my ears suffer tinnitus, ringing, 24/7, and slowly gets worse ).if someone had a pair, new or renewed, for sale, i can easily recommend them again. thats a LOT of use, some modest abuse as well, for this price point and quality of sound.i will add photos later.
