So this is my first controller like this for PS5. I've owned both Scuf and Battle beaver's for PS4. Thus far I've seen as good if not better quality in the Hex controller. Its been almost 2 months and I'm happy. I hope it last much longer because I love the feel of the control in general.I needed a controller with paddles. There isn't an easy attachment to buy pike the ps4 unfortunately. So I went ahead and got this controller since they use a base ps5 controller. It has worked great.Controller arrived in very attractive packaging, hair trigger shoulder buttons, nice clicky back buttons, very high quality build, included interchangeable thumb sticks.This controller is purely for FPS games and other shooters. Not recommended for games that involve drivingJoystick only lasted a few months before the analog sticks decided to do what they wanted, in regards to which direction IT wanted to go. The manufacturer is of no help, however they want you to sign up for different sites to send them a "video" of what your joystick is doing. This was never mentioned when I bought the insurance through Asurion for the joystick. I didn't know I'd be jumping through hoops risking my computer, anonymity, phone number to include spam email for signing up for the sites they want you to record & upload a video through. Buyer beware, I do not write a lot of reviews and did not think I'd have to write a one here, BUT here we are. At this point, I guess it is a $300 loss. So with that in mind, I suggest NOT buying this product AND watch about insurance purchases because they WILL make you jump through hoops, only to still let you down. Joystick is a 3 (1 to 10 scale) only lasted less than 6 months.It's a pricey piece of kit no doubt, but it definitely is built well and does everything it is advertised to do. Of course it absolutely has to, given the investment serious gamers are looking to make with this purchase. The ergonomics are great, the back paddles feel sturdy, stable, and clicky just like you would hope. Remapping buttons is easy to do with the included instructions, and doesn't require any crazy third party pay app to accomplish using this feature. The textured handle grips are a nice touch if you want that option. Really makes loosing your grip on the controller something you'll never really have to worry about again. D-pad and buttons are all nicely textured and performed well, the "hair triggers" are great for games like Battlefield and Call of Duty since they reduce the travel distance significantly over the OEM Sony controller. However, these "hair triggers" would not best ideal to use in other games like racing games or anything where more slow and precise inputs are required for the L2 & R2 buttons.Changing out the thumbsticks is incredibly simple with this controller, and it does come with a nice bit of variety of optional choices. My one complaint with this controller, would be the material these thumbsticks are made from. It to me just feels less grippy in texture than the OEM controller thumbsticks. If I were to suggest anything be changed, a more textured grippy material be used in the manufacturing of the thumbsticks is what I would offer as advice to the vendor for improvements.Great controller but it’s gonna cost ya a pretty penny. I found my kinda slippery (could just be my hands) so I bought some control freek grips and solved the issue. Triggers are nice a short for fps games ( which is what I mainly play). Only drawback of this controller is the price.Can’t describe how satisfied I am. I’m so in love with it.The right trigger (R2) on this thing works 50% of the time. Has cost me so many games, freaking awful.Broke within 5 months dont waste your money
